It is necessary

Cotton fabric, synthetic winterizer, some white fur, a sheet of thick paper, two laces or thin braid, tinsel, a piece of red fabric or a toy carrot, white bow, lace braid

Instructions

Step 1

Find in the wardrobe of the future "hare" a sleeveless jacket or a blouse with a hood. Take short pants. Lay the finished garments gently on a cotton cloth. It might just be an old sheet.

Step 2

Circle each part: shelves, back, legs, half of the hood. For this, it is convenient to use tracing paper. Leave about 2 cm (2 inches) for the tie around the edges of the hood.

Step 3

Sew a sleeveless jacket and a hood. Finish the edges of the products. This can be done manually, with a needle forward stitch, or on a sewing machine. Leave the seam that connects the two halves of the hood open about 5 cm (just below the crown of the head). This is the future place for bunny ears.

Step 4

Fold the edges of the hood inward and hem so that the lace or tape can be threaded. Sew the “hat” to the sleeveless jacket, thread the drawstring “under the neck”. She will hold well both the "hare's head" and the cape.

Step 5

Trim the sleeveless jacket with wide white fur tape. Natural white rabbit fur looks gorgeous and natural. However, it is more expensive. Faux fur and synthetic winterizer will do. If desired, decorate the hare's outfit with tinsel to your taste.

Step 6

Make bunny ears. Draw the pattern you want. Prepare three parts for each ear: 4 cotton and 2 padding polyester. Baste them together so that the pad is inside the two fabric pieces. Unscrew the ears. For stability, insert into each thick paper.

Step 7

Fold the ears in a "half ring" at the base. Now sew the folded together two ears tightly into the seam of the hood. Fold one to the left, the other to the right. Sew each ear to the "head", stepping back from the center seam at a distance of 3 cm. Lift and sew the ears together so that in the middle there is a small triangle. The ears are up! Cover them with fur pieces.

Step 8

According to the pattern of the pants, make two layers of cotton and padding polyester. Apply one layer to another. Baste them so that the synthetic winterizer is on the front side. Finish the inner seams and edges, turn out - the shaggy pants are ready!

Step 9

Make a tail from a piece of fur. To do this, cut out a fur circle, fill it with soft padding and tighten around the edge with thread. If the sleeveless jacket is long, sew a "bunny tail" to it. Short - make tailed pants. The main thing is to sit comfortably!

Step 10

Don't forget about accessories.

• Hang the "carrot" on a string or braid. It can be sewn from red fabric and stuffed with padding polyester, or you can buy it ready-made.

• If the "bunny" is female, you can attach a small bow to the ear, and decorate the costume with snow-white lace braid. It looks interesting in contrast to fur.

• Sew furry armbands.

Step 11

Match the suit with a white blouse, tights or knee-highs. Finally, look for white downy socks or gym shoes.
