Instructions
Step 1
Think about the size of the product you are going to weave. Buy baby simple balloons, they can be small or large. Inflate a balloon of the size you need and tie it tightly so that air does not escape.
Step 2
Prepare your table. Spread old newspapers or plastic wrap on it. Squeeze the Vaseline out of the tube onto your fingers. Spread evenly over the entire surface of the ball. This is to prevent the threads or hemp from sticking to the rubber.
Step 3
Wind the hemp rope around the ball. Do as if you are winding up a skein of thread. Lay the rope loosely on a ball, several turns horizontally, then several turns vertically. Rope layers are not located close to each other, the balloon shines through through the remaining gaps. Distribute the turns of the hemp evenly throughout the ball.
Step 4
Coat the rope ball with PVA glue. Apply a generous amount of glue with a brush to soak your hemp all over. Rotate the balloon a few more times and saturate the hemp with glue again. When you see that you have achieved the desired result, your ball has already turned out, then leave it to dry completely.
Step 5
Use a needle to pierce the balloon inside your woven balloon. Pull the rubber pieces out through the spaces between the hemp. Do this carefully, do not pinch the ropes.
Step 6
Hemp rope itself is a beautiful textured material, but if you need to give it color, then take acrylic paints and a brush, paint the braided ball. After the paint dries, glue beads, shells or beads on the surface of the ball
