Satin ribbons can become not only a decorative edging for bags, dresses and embroidery - they can become a completely independent decoration. You can not only embroider with ribbons, but also weave bright and beautiful bracelets and baubles from them. In this article we will talk about a simple and affordable technique for weaving baubles from narrow satin ribbons. On the basis of such weaving, you will be able to come up with a wide variety of products and decorations in the future.

Instructions
Step 1
Take two long satin ribbons of the same width. To get started, you will only need two ribbons of different colors - for example, black and orange. Each ribbon must be at least one meter long.
Step 2
Fold the ends of the two ribbons together and tie a knot with an eyelet. Then on each ribbon, make 2 loops no more than 10-15 cm long and lay them on top of each other. Thread the loop on the black ribbon through the loop on the orange ribbon and tighten the orange loop. After that, make a loop again on the orange tape. Thread it through the black loop and tighten the black tape. You will have an orange eyelet in your hands, to which you need to fold the black eyelet again.
Step 3
Thread the black loop through the orange one, and tighten the orange loop. Make an orange loop, then thread it through the black loop and tighten. Continue to weave the bracelet, alternately changing and tightening the loops, until the bracelet reaches the desired length. Pull the loops of the same length and do not tighten them too tightly so that the bracelet pattern is neat and the ribbons are intertwined equally evenly.
Step 4
At first, you can fix the end of the loop on the base with a pin so as not to lose it. As a result, you should have a bauble with an original square weave. Tie a regular knot at the end of the bauble.

Step 6
You can try to create a twisted bauble from not two, but from four ribbons. To do this, take four ribbons of different colors. It is best to use ribbons about 5-7 mm wide. The length must be at least two meters. You can take not four, but two four-meter ribbons and start weaving, tying them in the middle.
Step 7
To weave a twisted bauble, you first need to step back about fifteen centimeters from the edge and tie a knot. This remainder is necessary in order to tie a bauble later. Spread the four ribbons in opposite directions, perpendicular to each other. Bend the top tape towards you to form a loop. Place the top tape on the right one. Now take the right tape and fold it into a loop through the top tape you laid earlier. Place the right tape over the bottom one. Next, take the bottom tape and also bend it, then put it on the left tape. Bend the left tape as well and pass it through the top loop. Gently stretch all four ribbons in opposite directions so that the loops secure your ribbons. Just don't drag them. Don't worry if you don't see a clear pattern in the front row. After you have stretched the ribbons, spread them again in different directions and repeat all the above steps. Already on the second row, you can clearly trace your drawing. Repeat the above steps until the length of the bauble is perfect for you. At the end, simply attach the ribbons and tie the bracelet around your arm.
Step 8
From two satin ribbons of different colors, you can weave a square bauble, which can also be an excellent keychain. Take two satin ribbons of different colors. It is necessary to take at least four meters in length. To make the process easier to understand, let one ribbon be blue and the other white. You can use any other colors. Fold the ribbons in half. Put the blue ribbon with the ends of us on the table. Put the white tape perpendicular to the blue exactly in the middle. The hinges should be on the bottom and on the right, respectively. Take the top white ribbon and carefully place it on top of the right blue one and under the left blue one. Now fold the same ribbon to the right and place it higher on top of the blue ribbon. Take the right blue ribbon by the tip and pass it down over the other ribbons, at the bottom white ribbon, pass the blue ribbon under the bottom. The main thing is that this action is performed in the middle between the two blue ribbons.
Step 9
Now take two blue ribbons and start pulling in different directions. Only you need to do this very carefully. Pulling a little, go to the white ribbons and also pull them smoothly in different directions. And so on until the moment when you get a drawing of four squares.
Step 10
Now fold the right white tape so that it turns to the left. Fold the top blue one and place it on top of the white one. Place the left white tape on top of the previously folded blue tape so that the end is on the right. Place the remaining blue ribbon on top of the bottom white ribbon and thread it through the loop formed when the top white ribbon is folded. Pull all ends evenly to make four squares again.
Step 11
Now take the top blue tape and fold it so that the tip is pointing down. Fold the right white ribbon over the blue ribbon. Put the bottom blue on top of the white. And put the remaining white ribbon at the top right on top of the first blue ribbon and then pass it through the loop formed by the first blue ribbon we folded. Pull the ends. These actions must be repeated until the length of your bauble or keychain is optimal for you.
Step 12
Many people like this type of weaving because you can get not only a square bracelet, but also, if you wish, make it twisted. To do this, a ready-made and fixed square bauble must be twisted a little, taking its ends with both hands and smoothly turning one end to one side and the other to the other. Such a bauble must be handled very carefully. After all, if you stretch the ribbons too much, it will be impossible to return them to their original appearance.
