Various styles of weaving from threads have been passed down from generation to generation of needlewomen from ancient times. One of the most common weaving techniques used to create a wide variety of home furnishings and decorations is macrame. Using the macrame technique, you can weave unusual and beautiful bracelets, as well as use the resulting braided strips as bookmarks, decorative braids and handles for bags and backpacks.
Instructions
Step 1
Take floss threads for the bracelet. You should have 4 strands of one color (eg white) and 4 strands of a different color (eg blue). The length of each strand should be 100 cm.
Step 2
Tie a bundle of yarns at the end with a knot and attach to the cushion or back of the sofa with a safety pin. For the bracelet, place the threads alternately - alternating between blue and white threads.
Step 3
Macrame bracelet is woven using a simple right loop knot. With the far left thread on the next right thread, tie two right buttonhole knots. Continue braiding with double right stitches on each successive strand until you reach the end of the row.
Step 4
Go back to the leftmost thread - this will already be the thread of the next color. Repeat the previous step - start braiding with this thread using the right buttonhole knot, all subsequent threads from left to right. Continue weaving, forming oblique lines of even tight knots.
Step 5
Tie the bracelet to the desired length by trying it on on the wrist, then tie a knot at the end and braid the remaining threads to form strings.
Step 6
Beads and beads can be woven into such a bracelet, as well as increase the number of threads and colors to make your bracelet wider and more colorful. By the same principle, you can make bookmarks and braid of any length and width - it all depends on your skill, perseverance and speed of work.
