The standard Windows game "Minesweeper" is familiar to many, but many do not know how to play it, because at first glance the game seems incomprehensible. This is a pretty serious puzzle that will help you pass the time and develop your logical thinking. To win it, it is not enough to know the rules of the game, you need to be able to apply certain tricks and develop your own tactics.
Instructions
Step 1
Start the game "Minesweeper" from the menu "Start" - "All Programs" - "Games". Start playing by the rules that can be viewed in the application's help section (Help item on the left side of the window).
Step 2
It is best to start looking for mines from the corner. When there are no corners, it comes down to straight rows of undiscovered cells. Always calculate the possible options, do not "poke" into the cells at random. The game develops logical thinking well, since in some cases it is quite difficult to calculate the possible options, and attentiveness, since each mistake becomes the last and the game round ends.
Step 3
Try to mark all mines as quickly as possible. If you know for sure that the mine is in a certain place, immediately mark it. Otherwise, by the end of the game, you will simply forget about it.
Step 4
Sometimes, when pressed, the computer releases additional cells that do not have bombs. In this case, the probability of detecting a mine is higher, since it immediately becomes clear which cells are empty, and which have something.
Step 5
Try to open closed parts of the field. If it is not clear which move you need to make next, go to another part of the field. It is better to open unexplored slots than to open those places where mines are located.
Step 6
To always win, you can use a kind of cheat for the game. Minimize all programs that close the desktop and set a dark background or screen saver. It is desirable to make the screen monochromatic. In the program window, type a combination of keyboard buttons "xyzzy" and press the left Shift key. Click Start Game. Now, after hovering over a cell, the upper left pixel of the screen will become white (if there is no mine under the cell) or black (if there is a bomb under the cell), which serves as a very convenient hint.
