Step 1
Read a few Old Russian epics. Pay attention to what size they are written in. Memorize the rhythm. You can even tap it on the table with a pencil or just with your fingers.
Step 2
Pay attention to the language of the epic and its content. Most often they tell about heroic events. Remember the names of the heroes.
Step 3
Think about what events you would like to tell in your epic. If you congratulate a hero of the day whom you know well, remember the most important episodes from his life. They can be presented in a solemn or comic form, the epic is quite suitable for both. If you are playing a role-playing game of some ancient Russian storyteller, decide which characters you want to tell the rest of the participants.

Sketch the plot. Take a dictionary of ancient Russian words and pick up a number of expressions. This is necessary in order for the epic to be similar to the old Russian one.
Step 5
Throw away all unnecessarily modern expressions. They, of course, can give the stylization a humorous coloring, but there should not be too many of them. However, you can use another technique - to write an epic in exclusively modern slang.
Step 6
Tell the story you have invented in the rhythm that ancient storytellers used for their works. If not all lines fit into this rhythm, replace the inappropriate words with synonyms.

Epic is a genre of oral creativity. But remember that in ancient times, information was transmitted in completely different ways than it is now. Therefore, people knew a lot by heart, and this did not require much effort from them. This method is not very suitable for a modern person, so record a ballad. For the anniversary, you can make something like an old letter. Cut out a suitable piece from a sheet of Whatman paper, write an epic on it and roll the sheet into a tube. Attach the ribbon. Make a stylized print.
