Sony's official PSP 6.2.0 firmware update contains several attractive additions to extend the functionality of the game console. The installation procedure for this update does not require any special computer knowledge and can be easily performed by the user.
Instructions
Step 1
Sony PSP Firmware Update 6.2.0 Includes:
- the option to import Media GO playlists into the "Video" category;
- the option to import Media GO playlists into the "Photos" category;
- moving the TV menu item to the Extras section (for PSP-2000, PSP-2005, PSP-3000, PSP-N1000 and PSP-N1005 models);
- the ability to purchase and read comics.
Step 2
Make sure the game console battery is fully charged before installing the official firmware version. Connect the charger and do not disconnect the plug during the whole process. Download the firmware file version 6.2.0 and unzip it to a folder located in / PSP / Game / Update /. Please note that such a folder may not exist. In this case, you will need to create the folder yourself. Expand the "Game" menu and go to the "Memory Card" item. Run the update installer and follow all the recommendations of the update wizard.
Step 3
If you need to install version 6.2.0 Pro-B4, make sure that the official update is already installed and find the folders with the names in the found distribution kit:
- ProUpdate;
- FastRecovery;
- 620Pro_Permanent.
Move the found files to the root of the memory card in the / PSP / Game folder b open the "Game" menu. Select the "Memory Card" item and press the X button to launch the installer.
Step 4
If the installed firmware has crashed, you need to run 620Pro-B Fast Recovery. To do this, expand the "Game" menu and go to the "Memory card" item. Click on the X button to launch the required utility. If you need to install permanent firmware, then use the same procedure to run the 620 Pro-B10 Permanent Patch file. Installation of firmware version 6.2.0 Pro-B10 is completely similar to the one described above.
