"Three from Buttermilk" is a cartoon based on the story of Eduard Uspensky. The heroes were drawn by the production designers, and the artists were voiced. The cartoon characters are easily recognizable, and the cat Matroskin is one of the main characters.

Instructions

Step 1

The artist Nikolai Erykalov worked on the image of Matroskin. The character has a special character that can hardly be conveyed with the same accuracy. Try to portray a cat using the following techniques.

Step 2

Start drawing simple shapes, gradually move on to more complex ones. Look at what the parts of the cat's body look like: the body is an elongated oval, the legs are also ovals, but narrower, and the head is a circle.

Step 3

So, take a piece of paper, a soft pencil and have an eraser ready. First draw a circle - this will be the head. Divide it into equal parts, you should get a cross in the middle.

Step 4

Extend the vertical line downward. Draw an oval and divide the shape into three equal parts. Draw four more small ovals above and below - these will be paws. Add a long, curved tail to the bottom of the torso.

Step 5

Now proceed to the muzzle: the eyes are two small circles, draw them on a horizontal line, observe the proportions. Add between them, just below, a small triangle - this is the nose. Then, from the middle of the nose, draw two lines curved in different directions - this is the mouth, on the sides of it sketch out several points, and from them - a long mustache.

Step 6

Draw the ears on the top of the head in the form of triangles, just make them with a wider base, and inside, separate with an additional line - they will look more natural. Sketch out the brow line and long eyelashes.

Step 7

Smoothly connect all the shapes, erase the excess with an eraser. Draw the fingers and of course the stripes. If your fingers do not work out, you can add two strokes inside each oval - it will look like claws.
