Step 1
Select the desired lock size. You can mark the extreme points of the image with notes on the sheet. Use a ruler and a soft pencil to keep the lock neat, and its outlines even and clear.
Step 2
Draw the walls of the building as a large horizontal rectangle. Draw vertical rectangles to its side edges, which will become watchtowers. In medieval castles, towers were located at all corners of the defensive wall. This arrangement made it possible to see the advancing enemy at a great distance.
Step 3
The castle towers are shaped like a cylinder. You can depict the roundness of the building with the help of correctly positioned shadows. On the top edge of the towers, draw stone square battlements. Use the chess rook shape as an example.
Step 4
Add another tower to the middle of the drawing. The bottom of the tower should be hidden by a wall. Moreover, this tower should be larger and taller than the guard. It is not necessary for her to draw defensive cogs on the upper edge of the building.
Step 5
Complete the images of all the towers with gabled roofs. If you are drawing a fairytale castle, then you can stretch the spiers of the roofs up quite strongly. This will give the image a cartoonish look. Decorate the tops of the roofs with thin waving flags.
Step 6
Even a sheltered building like a castle has windows. But they are small and narrow. Draw them as elongated arches. The fewer windows you draw, the more unapproachable your palace will seem.
Step 7
Make a large arch-shaped gate in the middle of the wall. Fill the resulting shape with a few vertical lines. This will mark the boards or iron bars from which the gate is made.
Step 8
Fill the inner space of the walls and towers with a brick pattern. To do this, draw even rows of small rectangles.
