Step 1
Before going on winter fishing, you need to fully equip yourself, since sudden bad weather or the absence of certain gear can hopelessly ruin the trip. Therefore, it is imperative to purchase warm comfortable clothing (thermal underwear), taking into account the method of fishing. Be sure to tell the seller if you plan to move quickly across the ice in search of fish, as physical activity requires a completely different thermal underwear. Well, and, accordingly, you need to purchase winter gear and a box.
Step 2
After you are ready to fish, you should definitely wait until the ice is thick (at least 5 cm). Even so, do not go out on the ice alone and do not drill holes too close to each other.
Step 3
Fishing is best where there is a likelihood of catching fish. Most fish stand at depths in winter: in pits, whirlpools, deep snags - where there is more oxygen. In such places, fish most often accumulate, the main task is to find such a place and good fishing is provided. Once such a fishing spot is found, you can drill holes with an ice ax and try fishing.
Step 4
The tackle is collected, a bait or spinner is attached to a fishing rod, and a casting is made into the water. Then the rod needs to "play" a little, rhythmically pulling the bait, giving it a game.
If after several casts there was no bite, you can move to another place, but throw some bait into those holes. Subsequently, you need to return to the previously drilled holes again - the fish may come up.
