Knitting is a great way to relieve stress or make a good use of the time. If at the same time it is possible to make a beautiful and useful thing, then the hobby not only "heals" the nerves and the soul, but also acquires practical value.
Instructions
Step 1
To knit a sweater, first take measurements of your figure. To do this, use a flexible meter to measure the length of the intended product, chest volume, waist, arm, neck, chest height. Write down the measurements taken and build a pattern on them. Although there are no darts on the pattern of a knitted product, the lines can be very intricate.
Step 2
Determine the same with the style, type and purpose of the product. Based on this, select the type of yarn from which you will knit the product. For elegant products, fine yarn of bright colors is suitable; the type of fabric also plays an important role. The openwork fabric looks much more feminine. If the knitted fabric consists of several colors, then you need to choose a yarn that does not fade.
Step 3
In order to determine the number of loops for a particular part, knit a 10 * 10 cm canvas from the selected yarn. Thus, you will find out how many loops are 1 cm in length, you can calculate their total number and link the model according to the constructed pattern.
Step 4
Start knitting a jacket from the back or from the sleeves. Then it gets out before. The last ones knit all the small details: collar, patch pockets, etc. This sequence was chosen for a reason: in the process of creating a product, it may turn out that there is not enough yarn. Then, tying the sleeves and back of the same color, you can get out of the predicament. The front part can be made with some kind of ornament or stripes. Also, this order of knitting allows you to change the style of the model.
Step 5
Learn the methods of narrowing and expanding knitted fabric. In order to expand the product, additional loops are used, and to reduce it, 2-3 loops are tied together. When the details of the product are ready, baste it around the edges and try on. This will allow you to see the finished product. Make changes if necessary. If you are satisfied with everything, sew the product by hand. At the shoulder seams, place heavy-duty tape to prevent pulling.
