If you want to reinforce the shoulder seam, add a strip of jersey equal to the length of the shoulder and about 1 cm wide. If the strip is thin, cut it straight along the stitches.
Step 2
Use a needle and contrasting thread to mark the reference marks on the parts. This is done so that the arrows from the cuts do not go on the knitwear. If you are not sure of the correctness of your actions, first sweep the seams or pin them with pins. Chip off the shelf and back. From the side of the shelf, over the seam, pin a strip of knitted fabric to prevent the seam from stretching when worn.
Step 3
Iron the shoulder seams. Check the work of the iron on a piece of knitted fabric, how it reacts to heat treatment. Baste the collar to the neckline, pin and sew on a typewriter.
Step 4
Check if the jersey has a hem at the bottom of the sleeves, shelves and back. If there is, the edges of the product do not need hemming, if not, bend the edges of the sleeve and sew on the front side with any knitted seam. Sew sleeves into armholes and machine sew. Sew the straps to the edges of the sweatshirt. Fasteners can be made with buttons or buttons, whichever you like best. Be sure to overlock the buttonholes. The number of loops and buttons depends on the size of the jacket.
Step 5
