Prepare in advance a complementary food that will keep the fish near the hole for a long time. It is difficult to predict what kind of bait will interest the soroga. To make cereal complementary foods, take barley or semolina, add a little vegetable oil and cook in water until it swells. Then mash the resulting mass, mix it with finely crushed breadcrumbs (make sure they are not burnt) and roll into small balls that you will throw into the hole before you start fishing.

Collect all the necessary winter fishing tools. When fishing for a magpie, you will need a fishing line of 0, 08 - 0, 1 with a jig and a leash, a light and lifting float of bright color (if the store does not have a suitable one, you can paint it yourself). A jig - a hook soldered into a pellet bait, it is advisable to choose a two-color one, and the colors should be contrasting, for example, red and silver. If the weight of the jig exceeds the carrying capacity of the float, the fisherman will immediately notice even a light bite.
