The hat is a very characteristic sign of the times. At the sight of a hat with very wide brims and lush feathers, the musketeer is immediately remembered, the top hat is reminiscent of the Pushkin era, and an elegant straw hat can create the image of a young lady from the capital of the beginning of the last century, resting in the village. Hats never go out of style, so they have to be drawn quite often, both by fashion designers and illustrators.
It is necessary
- - paper;
- - pencil;
- - paints or colored pencils;
- - pictures with images of different hats.
Instructions
Step 1
Even if you want to come up with an unusual hat for your suit, try to draw something classic first. The drawing principle for all brimmed hats is the same. The only difference is in the width and shape of the brim and crown. The location of the sheet can be any.
Step 2
Draw an oval. It is better to place it horizontally. If the hat is below your eye level, the oval will be wide. In this case, the line that is closer to you will be on the plane below the distant one. The fields directly in front of you look like a very narrow oval or even a straight line. Looking at the bottom of the hat, you will also see an oval, but the far part of the brim is below. If you are drawing a soft-brimmed lady's hat, draw an uneven oval. Curvature can be in any part of the fields and in any shape.
Step 3
For convenience, draw two centerlines. One crosses the oval in length and connects the farthest points. Divide this line in half. Draw a perpendicular to the middle. It can only be held in one direction - to where the crown will be.
Step 4
From the intersection of the axials, retreat along a long line at equal distances to one side and to the other and put points. For a musketeer hat, these points will be approximately ¾ of their width from the edge of the brim. The fields of the cylinder are very narrow, so the distance from the middle to the lateral line of the crown will be approximately 7/8 of the length of this segment. Connect the points with an arc parallel to the front brim line.
Step 5
Draw the side lines of the crown. If you are drawing a musketeer hat, then these lines go to a small height almost at right angles to the brim, or converge slightly upward. At the cylinder, they either diverge at a slight angle, or, again, are perpendicular to the fields. The height of the crown of the cylinder is approximately one and a half times its width. Connect the upper ends of the side lines with an arc or straight. If you are drawing a felt hat, the convex portion of the top arc will point upward. In this case, the bottom does not need to be drawn.
Step 6
The bottom of a musketeer hat or cylinder is an oval. Draw the upper part of the arc already drawn. Round off the joints of both arcs. The sketch of the cylinder is ready. For the musketeer hat you need more feathers. Draw a curved line from wherever the brim and crown meet. This line is directed upwards at a slight angle. Surround it with a wavy line.
Step 7
If you are looking at the hat from below, start drawing in the same way from the oval of the brim. As in the previous case, draw two lines. Along the long axial line, set aside the full width of the crown on both sides, and along the short one - very small segments. Connect the dots together with an oval. In this case, only part of the crown is visible. Draw a low trapezoid above the middle of the top brim line. Its ribs are slightly closer to the center than the edges of the hole on the bottom of the hat. Instead of the top line of the trapezoid, draw a slightly curved arc with the convex part facing up. Since the margins of the cylinder are much narrower, the crown is more visible. Its width is almost equal to the width of the hole, and the bend of the upper line of the crown is parallel to the line of the margins in this area.
