The kimono-cut dress is knitted from the neck down. The fabric of the dress is made in striped knitting. The width of the light stripe is 12 rows, the dark one is 6 rows. Step 1
Before you start knitting a dress, take measurements: neck circumference (for example, 36 cm), hip circumference - 102 cm, wrist circumference - 16 cm. Tie a stocking pattern and use it to calculate the knitting density, that is, the number of loops that fall 1 cm of canvas (in this case 2, 2 loops).
Step 2
Knowing the knitting density, it is easy to calculate the number of loops to get started. It is necessary to multiply the neck circumference by the knitting density (36 cm * 2, 2 = 80 loops).
Step 3
On the needles cast on 80 cotton stitches and knit 4 rows.
Step 4
For further work, make a calculation, determine the width of the center lines and their location on the connected canvas. in this model the width of each axle is 2 loops. Total 4 axial, 2 loops (8 loops) 80-8 = 72 loops. Divide the resulting number into 4 equal parts (72: 4 = 18). Subtract 4 loops from two parts (36-8 = 28) - for the back, 14 loops each on either side of the axial (the axial coincides with the middle of the back). Add 8 loops to the remaining two parts (36 + 8 = 44) - for the front, 22 loops on either side of the centerline.

After making the calculations, mark the center lines on the canvas with colored thread. Break off the cotton thread and start knitting with mohair, making additions in each purl row with yarns: in front of the center lines, knit the yarn with a movement of your hand away from you, after the center line - knit the yarn towards you. In the front row, knit crochets so that there is no large hole: in front of the axial - front for the back wall (from right to left), after the axial - front normal (from left to right).
Step 6
Knit tightly. At the level of the armpits, mark the width of the back and front on the canvas. The rest is sleeves. Having divided the knitting into 4 parts, knit each part separately, making additions not only near the axial, but also along the edges of the parts, until you get the desired width of the back, front and sleeves. For size 48, the sleeves in the widest part should be 38-40 cm, the back - 50 cm, in front - 52 cm.
Step 7
The width of the back and front is 102 cm. Add the missing front loops through the row, throwing air loops on the knitting needle: several times 1, then 2, then 3. On the back: add half of the loops through a row by 1 loop, and the rest immediately in one row. Do not add loops on the sleeves. To expand the sleeves, the additions near the axial ones are enough.
Step 8
Having received the desired width of the parts, begin to make decreases along the edges of the canvas through a row, one loop at a time (at the end of each row, knit 2 together).
Step 9
Having tied the axial sleeves and dresses to the desired length, tie the missing corners of the skirt and sleeves (without tying through a row to one front one by 1 loop, at the edge of the fabric, through a row, make subtractions, knitting 2 together).
Step 10
Align the bottom of the sleeves and skirt, tie the sleeves with garter knitting, finish the skirt with stocking (hem 3-4 cm).
