Step 1
To make a simple-shaped cover with a zipper, you will need old jeans with pockets intact. A contour is drawn around both pockets with tailor's chalk, stepping back from the edges of the pocket 3 cm. The details are cut along the contour, put face up and a zipper ripped from jeans is sewn to the tops of the pockets. After that, the pockets are folded with the front sides inward and the remaining sides are sewn on a typewriter. The finished product is turned inside out, a cover with two outer and one inner pockets is obtained. A loop can be sewn to the cover to be worn on the wrist like a purse, and small pieces of Velcro fixing tape are sewn to the outer pockets.
Step 2
Some modern phones are quite large, due to which they may not fit into a case made of pockets. Therefore, to make a cover for such a phone, it is necessary to make preliminary measurements with the obligatory consideration of seam allowances. Based on these measurements, two parts are cut out from old jeans, and the inner side of the cover can be made of fabric in a contrasting color. In this case, you need four parts: two denim, two from the selected fabric. Each pair of parts is folded with the front sides inward, sewn along the long sides.
Step 3
The inner layer of the cover is turned inside out so that the seam is not visible. The denim unverted part is inserted into the inner layer, both layers are straightened and stitched obliquely along the corners. After that, the cover is turned inside out, as a result of which the denim layer is on top, and the seams of both parts are inside. At the finished product, the upper edge is tucked and stitched, a loop and a beautiful button are sewn onto the front side to fix the loop.
Step 4
Also easy to sew and a phone case in the form of an envelope, with a protective flap. To make it, you will need a wide piece of denim, which, when folded in half, corresponds to the size of the phone, taking into account the manufacture of the upper flap. The fabric is folded with the front side inward, sewn on three sides: two on the side and one on the bottom.
Step 5
The upper free edge of the fabric is cut in the shape of a triangle or semicircle. The edges of the flap are folded over and stitched, or trimmed with decorative braid. If there is no desire to process the edge, then you can pull the threads out of it and get a fringe that organically blends with denim. The fastener for the valve can be any: button and loop, Velcro, buttons, ties. The finished product can be decorated with embroidery, applique, beads, etc.
