Step 1
Select circular knitting needles. Like ordinary ones, they can be made of various materials: metal, wood. Circular knitting needles are two knitting needles connected by a flexible perlon cable or fishing line. They are available in various thicknesses and lengths. It is very convenient to knit with such knitting needles in a circle without seams. Their length should be slightly less than the width of the part so that the knitted fabric does not stretch.
Step 2
Cast on the required number of stitches on a regular knitting needle, the same thickness as the circular knitting needles. So that no holes are formed when knitting the first row, knit several loops of the first row together with the free end of the thread or, when dialing loops, dial the "extra" loop. Without knitting, transfer it to the right knitting needle and knit it together with the first loop, while closing the circle.
Step 3
Transfer all the dialed loops from a regular knitting needle to a circular one and distribute them evenly along the entire length of the flexible line, while the surface of the knitting needles themselves should remain free. Check for inverted hinges! If so, carefully align the typesetting edge.
Step 4
Set a marker for marking the stitches or mark with a contrasting thread the transition to the next row on the first or on the last dialed stitch. To do this, take a knitting needle with the last dialed loop in your right hand, and another knitting needle in your left hand, respectively.
Step 5
Next, knit in a circle, turning your attention to the mark that marks the end of the circle, which will help you count the rows knitted, and correctly navigate in knitting the pattern.
Step 6
To knit in the opposite direction, simply drag the knitted stitches onto the knitting needle you just released and continue knitting from the new ball. This is useful for knitting colorful patterns, jacquard and Norwegian ornaments. The scheme in this case is read first from right to left (front rows), and then vice versa (purl rows).
