Instructions

Step 1

Before starting work, choose yarn and knitting needles, which can be made of plastic, wood or metal. Their ends should not be too sharp (otherwise they will injure your fingers and break the thread) or too blunt (this will complicate the work). The diameter of the knitting needles should correspond to the selected yarn, or rather be twice as thick.

Step 2

Next, type the stitches of the initial row on the knitting needles. There are many methods of recruitment, which differ in the results (a different type of edge is obtained), in the density and elasticity of the lower part of the product. You can try several options and choose one that is acceptable to you first. But don't get hung up on one method, get to know others. This may come in handy for the future when you start creating your own models. Then you will be able to choose the most suitable starting row set for each of your work.

Step 3

After you have typed the required number of loops, go directly to knitting the front loops. They are of two types: knitted by the front threads and by the back threads. But with any method, the working thread must remain at the back. To do this, move the dialed loops to the end of the knitting needle, but so that they do not slip. Take a knitting needle free of yarn in your right hand, and a knitting needle with loops in your left. When knitting the front loops by the back thread, insert the tip of the right knitting needle into the loop, from top right to left (photo 1), grab the working thread and drag it. The resulting loop remains on the right knitting needle, which you carefully move away from the left, and remove the already knitted loop from it. To knit the front loops by the front thread, do the following - into the loop on the left knitting needle, insert the end right from the bottom from left to right (photo 2), grab the thread from the index finger, pull it through the loop. Remove the knitted loop and continue to the end of the row. Now transfer the knitting needle from the right hand to the left and start knitting the next row.
