Guitar is a string-plucked instrument, subdivided into several types, depending on the size of the body and the number of strings. Each type of guitar has its own tuning, including the tone of the first string.
Instructions
Step 1
The most common guitar is six-string. Its subspecies are classical, acoustic, semi-acoustic, electric, etc. All of them are built according to the same principle, and the first string should sound like the note "mi" of the first octave. To tune from another instrument (usually a piano), you can play that note on it, and then, by twitching the string, pull it to the appropriate sound. The tighter you pull the string, the higher the sound. To tune in this way, it is important that the instrument you are guided by is itself tuned and sounded correctly.
Step 2
To tune from an A-pitch tuning fork, hit something soft (such as your wrist) and bring it closer (but don't lean!) To your ear. Memorize the sound, you can even sing. Hold the 5th fret of the guitar and check that it sounds the same. If not, pull up the string. This way of tuning requires the musician to have a good ear for music and memory.
Step 3
To tune from the tuner, simply plug your guitar into the unit and pluck the first string. The tuner will show you how the string is playing. Pull it up, twitching constantly, until you achieve the desired tone.
Step 4
The seven-string guitar is tuned in the same way, but to the note "D" of the first octave instead of "E". In a twelve-string guitar, the first string is tuned to the E note of the first octave.
