Today, people hear guitar sounds everywhere: on the bench at the entrance, at concerts of rock guitarists, in the most popular tracks. But few people thought that there are different types of guitars, the sound reproduced by them is strikingly different.
Classical guitar
The guitar, familiar to many, with a neck and a body framed by decks, is considered classic, its shape is one of the oldest. The classical guitar is an acoustic instrument, the sound of which is amplified only by a wooden body. Therefore, it is usually played without amplifiers and a microphone, only in a noisy atmosphere or large rooms can a simple microphone be used. Classical guitar can be six-string, or it can have seven strings.
Acoustic
Along with the classical guitar, the acoustic guitar is widespread among guitarists. It differs somewhat in size, as well as in the material from which it is made. Such guitars are used more often for performing compositions in the style of folk, country, blues. This is explained by the fact that they use steel strings, which allows melodies to sound louder and louder.
In its usual modern form, the guitar has existed only since the second half of the 18th century. Before that, in whatever forms and forms it did not appear, some of them preserved the cultures of small peoples.
Electric guitar
The arrival of a new musical era was marked by the birth of the electric guitar. Actually from the guitar in the classical sense, there is very little left in the electric model. Its body is one-piece, there is no resonator at all, it cannot sound without an amplifier, and therefore its sound is reproduced only through special equipment, processed and supplemented with various effects. Therefore, each musician playing the same piece of electric guitar gets his own individual author's sound.
How many strings on an electric guitar the guitarist decides at all, maybe 6, maybe 12, the strings can be duplicated to achieve depth and variability of the sound.
Jazz guitar
The selection of this type of guitar as an independent one seems questionable to many, because in fact jazz guitar is a symbiosis of an acoustic guitar and an electric guitar. The model has an external resemblance to a cello or even a double bass, because it has f-shaped notches on the sides similar to the named musical instruments.
Bas-guitar
A kind of electric guitar is a bass guitar. It features thick strings that form a low-frequency musical background. This type of instrument does not play on its own, such a guitar is designed to set off and complement other instruments, and therefore is used only in ensembles.
However, to think that a bass guitar is only an auxiliary instrument is fundamentally wrong, a good bass player is worth its weight in gold, because he sets the mood of the composition and tunes the rest of the performers.
