It is not at all easy to make even the simplest rocket, so you should not immediately swing at something grandiose, but it is better to start with a small rocket with a diameter of 14 mm, just to get acquainted with the basics of rocketry.

It is necessary

a sheet of paper, finger batteries, liquid glass, rope, tape and a pencil

Instructions

Step 1

The rocket sleeve must be made of paper; for this, the A4 sheet is folded in half, so that the rocket has a maximum length. The body must be abundantly lubricated with liquid glass, which not only gives the sleeve the necessary rigidity and strength, but also prevents it from burning out prematurely.

Step 2

From a wet sheet of paper, you need to form the necessary model. First of all, you need to place both finger-type batteries inside the sleeve, folding them together and placing them over the edge of the strip.

Step 3

Now you need to quickly make constrictions for the nozzle and swirls, until the glass is frozen. It is not difficult to make them, for this you need to push out one battery, and move the remaining one almost to the end of the sleeve, leaving about 15 mm to the edge, then insert a free battery 7 cm, and pull the resulting gap with a rope.

Step 4

The hauling should be continued until the diameter of the nozzle is 5 mm, and then, simply tie the rope. The same operation is carried out with the other end of the liner, leaving a slightly more free hole there to facilitate the placement of the fuel inside.

Step 5

Now you can remove the batteries and refill the sleeve. Powdered boiled caramel is used as fuel, which is poured in stages, constantly tamping, you need to stop about 7 mm, before the lower constriction.

Step 6

Put a cotton pad on the fuel and tighten the top tightener. Remove the cotton swab from the nozzle and drill a hole of about 3 mm in the center of the sleeve, in fact, now the rocket engine is ready. It remains only to equip the rocket with a stabilization system in the form of a quarter of an ordinary pencil, and you can release it into the sky.
