In order to sew a beautiful pillowcase, you need to imagine what kind of pillow it will be worn on - the size, place and purpose of use, the interior of the room where it will be located are important.
Instructions
Step 1
Create a patchwork pillowcase. To do this, select scraps of fabric that match well in color and texture. If you have not previously used this technique to create things, look for master classes on the Internet, because the seemingly simple process of sewing from shreds actually requires special skills in fabric processing. For the first work, choose a simple drawing made of identical square pieces of material. Determine the size of the patches based on the parameters of the pillow. For example, if the pillow measures 40 by 60 cm, then use 8 squares 5 by 5 cm for the width and 12 of the same squares for the length. When the front of the pillowcase is ready, make a pattern for the back. It consists of two rectangles, small and larger, which are overlapped. Be sure to trim the edges of the back of the pillowcase.
Step 2
Choose a beautiful plain jacquard fabric and fine lace 10 cm wide for your pillowcase. Make standard patterns for your pillowcase - one for the front and two for the back. Make sure that the design on the fabric and the weaving of the threads are strictly in accordance with the edges of the pillowcase. Sew on two strips of lace on both sides of the front piece. Sew it all together. This pillowcase will look especially good if it is sewn onto a rectangular pillow and lace is stitched along the short sides.
Step 3
Make a pattern of satin solid color pillowcase. Lay out the front part of the pillowcase on a plane, draw parallel lines with a ruler, the distance between adjacent lines should be the same and be 5-7 cm. Make a lot of multi-colored roses from satin ribbons. Place them on the drawn lines at a distance of 2-4 cm from each other, sew neatly. A stitching stitch can be made between them. Use green floss for this. Sew a pillowcase.
