Instructions
Step 1
For embroidery, you need to choose a thin, sharp needle and a double thread twisted from six threads. Depending on how wide the stitch should be, insert the needle at a higher or lower incline. When embroidering small monograms, the stitch should be fine, the needle is guided almost vertically.
For trendy, modern monograms, fine lace stitch is suitable. A more "old" initial is embroidered with satin stitch. Both seams are very light and are therefore among the most commonly used. You can also combine both techniques. Embroider wide fragments of letters with satin stitch, and narrow ones with lace.
Step 2
Embroidery using the "Lace" technique. We insert the needle at the bottom of the material into the indicated line and pull it out a couple of millimeters higher. Enter to the left of the center and gently pull again. Then we repeat.
Step 3
Satin stitch embroidery. Satin is a wider version of the lace. The stitches need to be done close to each other, and the thread should be removed a little behind the indicated pattern. Do not pull the threads too hard. The thread should always be under the same tension.
Step 4
The threads should never be fastened with a knot because it will become more visible afterwards. When starting to embroider, leave the free end of the thread, and after the end of embroidery, secure both ends of the thread from below, pulling them over a few stitches.
