Instructions
Step 1
We cut out 36 squares measuring 20 by 20 cm from the shirts. We try to use the places that have been best preserved. You can make embroidery or applique work on plain squares.
Step 2
Sew in strips of 6 squares in a checkerboard pattern. We try to iron all the seams in one direction so that the seams are stronger. Then we sew all the strips together. We also iron it. At each connection of the squares, we make a knot of floss threads. This is the top side of the blanket.
Step 3
Cut out a square from the flannel sheet and fold it with the top side of the blanket with the right side inward. We sew, leaving a small hole. We turn it out, iron it out. We stretch the edges of the blanket.
Step 4
If you want to make a blanket on a padding polyester, then you need to sew the sides of the blanket with the front sides out, putting a layer of padding polyester between them. Quilting between squares. Stitch around the edges. Then process them with an oblique inlay.
