Gerard Depardieu and Elizabeth met in 1968 in Paris. The girl belonged to an ancient aristocratic family, had excellent manners and education. On April 11, 1970, the wedding of two hearts in love took place, Gerard's parents were incredibly happy about this event.

The marriage lasted quite a long time, as much as 26 years. In 1996, the couple officially divorced, although the couple have not lived together since 1992. From the marriage, Gerard and Elizabeth Depardieu left two children: Guillaume and Julie.

Guillaume Depardieu

The first-born of the famous French actor Guillaume was born on April 7, 1971 in Paris. Due to the constant lack of parental attention, the boy misbehaved, which significantly affected his schooling. As a teenager, he became addicted to drugs and alcohol, and often broke the law. For this he was sentenced several times to fines and imprisonment.

In order to somehow attract the attention of his father, Guillaume decides to choose an acting career. At the age of 20, he first appeared on the screens in the film "All the Morning of the World", where he starred with Gerard Depardieu. This French musical film won 7 Césars awards. The film gave an excellent start to the career of young Guillaume.

In 1995, a terrible misfortune happened: Guillaume Depardieu got into a traffic accident: he fell from a motorcycle in the Saint-Cloud tunnel. The result was a severe injury to the right knee. While undergoing treatment, the young actor contracted an infection caused by staphylococcus, which further impacted his health.

Despite this, Guillaume Depardieu already in 1996 received his Cesar prize in the Best Young Actor nomination for his role in the film The Apprentices, directed by Pierre Salvadori.

The actors who worked with Guillaume Depardieu noted his excessive emotionality. He could laugh and smile, and in a minute he could cry or rave. Guillaume never stopped playing for a minute, even in his life.

In 2003, the pain in the leg of a young Frenchman worsened so much that he had to take morphine. Antibiotics and anti-inflammatories were no longer helping, and old infection and diabetes were making themselves felt more and more often. Therefore, the doctors decided to amputate the leg. Guillaume got an excellent prosthesis, thanks to which he was able to walk and even act in films again.

In 2004, the actor writes an autobiography, where he frankly talks about the difficult relationship with Gerard Depardieu.

In 2008, Guillaume Depardieu left for Romania to shoot the film “The Childhood of Icarus”. The main character, Jonathan Vogel, lost his leg to try to restore what was lost; he takes part in a mysterious biological experiment. Guillaume was very impressed with this role and took an active part in adjusting the script.

A week after the end of filming, the actor became very ill, he had to be hospitalized. But the doctors could not do anything, on October 13, 2008, Guillaume Depardieu died of pneumonia at the height of his acting career.

Julie Depardieu

Julie was born on June 18, 1973. Unlike her Brother Guillaume, the girl studied well, and after school she went to study philosophy. But fate decreed otherwise. In 1994, Julie starred in a film for the first time, where her stage partner was Gerard Depardieu. The debut picture was called "Colonel Chabert".

The next work of the film "Machine", gave Julie the most important thing: an acquaintance with the director Jose Dian, who then many times invited the actress to his projects, among which was "The Count of Monte Cristo".

Loud success came to Julie after the release of the painting "Midnight Exam" (1998). Here the actress perfectly revealed herself for the role, playing very dramatic and talented.

In 2001, Julie Depardieu was on the same set with Audrey Tautou. They worked on the project “God is big, I am small”. The film was a resounding success, and they started talking about Julie Depardieu again.

Despite the fact that the films with Julie Depardieu were well appreciated by critics, the girl constantly faced ill-wishers who argued that the actress owed everything only to her father Gerard Depardieu. Now Julie continues to actively act in French films, while she does not forget about raising her children: Billy and Alfred.

The illegitimate children of Gerard Depardieu

Gerard Depardieu himself always said that he had 20 illegitimate children from 10 women, just from some he was able to buy off money. Officially, the actor recognized two: Roxanne and Jean.

Roxanne was born on January 28, 1992, her mother is Senegalese model, actress and director Karin Silla. It was the recognition of this paternity that created a crack in the relationship between Elizabeth and Gerard Depardieu, and then their final divorce followed. The actor did not live with Karin Silla for long, and when he found out about pregnancy, I would leave her. However, the daughter is very attached to her father.

Roxanne followed in Depardieu's footsteps and has already managed to star in a couple of films: Inaudible Touch (2011) and Ride or Die (2015). Recently, information appeared in the press that Roxana is a lesbian and has been living with her friend for two years.

The youngest child of Depardieu is his son Jean, whom the actor Helene Bizot gave birth to - the daughter of the famous Khmer Buddhist Francois Bizot. The boy was named after a close friend of Gerard Depardieu, French actor Jean Carme. Jean is raised by his mother and grandfather.
