Step 1
Tie an air chain of three loops, connect the first loop with the last to form a ring. So that there is no hole in it, connect the hinges with a connecting post.
Step 2
Continue knitting in a circle with double crochets, remember to add loops evenly. To do this, knit two single crochets in one loop. To make the addition even, and the canvas does not shrink, add every second in the first row, every third in the second row, every fourth loop in the third row, and so on. Adjust the number of added loops according to the density of your knitting. The main thing is that there are no distortions of the rows and waves do not form in the knitted circle.
Step 3
Knit in a circle until its diameter reaches 25 centimeters. After that, knit another 5-6 centimeters in columns with crochets, without adding loops.
Step 4
Begin to gradually decrease the loops: in each row, every fifth column until the diameter of the hole in the knitted product is equal to the circumference of the head.
Step 5
Form a beautiful edge of the beret. To do this, tie the edge of the head girth with petals or crab step. This will add density to the edge of the garment and prevent the beret from stretching.
Step 6
Tie an air chain of three loops, connect the first loop with the last to form a ring. Single crochet one row, adding every other stitch. Then form three petals by knitting the base of each with a chain of five chain stitches. Tie each petal with single crochets, and then several rows with crochets.
Step 7
Repeat the steps described in the previous paragraph, using a different shade of thread for knitting. Make sure the second flower is slightly smaller than the first.
Step 8
Tie another petal with yarn of the base color, but should be smaller than the previous one.
Step 9
Place all three flowers together (one on top of the other with the smaller one on top). Sew them together and sew to the beret as a decorative element. The beret is ready.
