Sports goods are not cheap today. Their prices can cool any sports ardor and excitement. It is good if a well-known and "promoted" sports club has generous sponsors or its members buy sports equipment in a club. But how can rural sports clubs be remote from the centers of civilization?

Indeed, now many of the younger generation would like to go in for sports, but not everyone can afford to buy high-quality sports equipment, which sometimes costs thousands of US dollars. However, quite decent sports equipment can be made by yourself, while having minimal skills. It's about how to make a punching bag for boxing yourself.

This requires the following materials:

  1. Sand;
  2. Large canvas or plastic bag;
  3. Large bag made of high density polyethylene;
  4. A piece of elastic leatherette measuring approximately 1.5 x 1.5 meters, or more;
  5. A piece of foam rubber similar in area to it;
  6. 4 - 5 meters of strong slings or strong fabric mesh;
  7. Several metal rings.

If something from this list is not present, you will have to buy.

The pear manufacturing process is as follows:

  1. We cut out one circle with a diameter of 30 - 40 cm from leatherette. Approximately this diameter will be your punching bag.
  2. We fill a plastic bag with sand (always dry) to the required volume.
  3. After that, we carefully tie a bag of sand, put on a canvas one, and evenly distribute the sand, we tie it tightly so that the shape is no longer lost.
  4. We make a frame from a sling - for this we cut the sling into five parts. Two parts should be twice the length of the future pear, the other three should be equal in width. Then we sew the frame with strong threads or call those who know how to help. As a result, you should get the following - large sections are sewn in the middle. Suspension rings are securely sewn to their upper ends. Smaller segments encircle the pear on the sides.
  5. Tie the resulting structure tightly with foam rubber, and put a leatherette on top, cut so that the bottom of the pear is seamless, otherwise it will be short-lived.
  6. The pear is finally sewn with strong (silk or synthetic) threads and hung on a suitable hook or horizontal bar.

That's all. As you can see, making a punching bag for boxing at home is not so difficult, the main thing is desire and patience.
