Your drawing skills are improving day by day, and you want to aim for something serious. You can try to draw a car using your existing knowledge. And the most interesting point for us here will be the drawing of the wheels.

Instructions

Step 1

We will not dwell on simple foreshortenings, but we will immediately take up a three-dimensional image. Be careful, because the right wheels won't add anything to your drawing, and the wrong ones will destroy it. Arm yourself with convergence lines, vanishing point, eye line and forward. Don't forget your pencil and paper!

You already know that you need a foundation first. Let's not be wise - you will inscribe an ellipse in a rectangle - the basis of the foundations. Draw the rectangle as if you were looking at it at an angle. Let it tilt at 45 degrees, by eye.

Step 2

Identify the vanishing point and, starting from it, draw a rectangle to the box in which you can see three sides. On the side, draw diagonals extending from the center of each side and intersecting in the middle. This is how you discovered the axle of your future wheel. Move on to the already familiar technology for cutting corners. Use curved lines across the ends of your diagonals. Correct the emerging ellipse on the convergence lines, otherwise the perspective will break. Erase the corners, you're done with them.

Step 3

First, deal with both wheel ellipses, drawing the second in the same way as the first. Do not remove the guides and draw additional ones if necessary. Move the ellipses under the vanishing point!

Step 4

Go to the drawing of the tire. Draw an ellipse on the side surface closest to you, which will be slightly larger than the first. The distance between them depends on the thickness of the rubber of the wheel. When the ellipse is ready, connect it with straight lines to the ellipse of the back wall of the box. The tire is ready.

Step 5

To complete the wheel drawing, decor is needed, such as the outline of the discs and the direction of the tread pattern. It is no coincidence that you still haven't erased the convergence lines - you still need them. The disc will be drawn with reference to the center of the ellipse. Connect both centers with a vertical line and begin to draw a disk pattern inside each of them.

Step 6

Now you can hatch the drawing. Remove unnecessary lines, but do not forget to leave emphasis on the stiffeners. At the edges of the tires, on the elevations in the disc pattern. The first wheel is ready and you can continue drawing the wheels yourself.
