Whether you are making a Halloween fancy dress or a themed friendly party, you should know how important it is to take into account all the details in the costume and work out accessories to complete the look. Sharp paper claws, which you can make by hand from plain paper, are a great accessory for your Halloween costume.

Instructions

Step 1

To fold a claw out of paper, take a sheet of A4 paper and place it on a flat table surface with the short side facing you. Fold the top-right corner downward, aligning the top edge of the sheet with the left edge, leaving an unfolded, narrow strip of paper at the bottom. Now take the top-most corner of the resulting blank and fold it towards the bottom-left corner formed by the previous fold.

Step 2

Align the edge of the triangle with the left edge of the shape. Bend the right part of the workpiece, which starts from the fold angle of the upper triangle, to the left, forming a vertical fold - so that the resulting figure begins to resemble an even square. Fold the finished square in half diagonally, forming a triangular shape. Lay the triangular workpiece in front of you with the wide base towards you and the top away from you.

Step 3

Consider the two sides of the triangle - one has four separate folded edges, and the other has two. Using a pencil or a slight fold, draw a vertical line from the top of the triangle and perpendicular to its base. Bend the side edges of the triangle towards the center line - so that you get a narrow rhombus, the lower corners of which extend beyond the base of the previous workpiece.

Step 4

Repeat the same steps two more times. The figure will begin to resemble the outline of a claw. Iron all folds carefully to keep the work piece tight and strong. Secure the shape by tucking the remaining edge into the pocket at the back of the claw. Insert your finger into the small pocket. If desired, fold in a few more claws to fit over all fingers.
