Popsicle sticks are useful for crafts with children. Read this article before throwing them away!
You can make many different crafts with children from ice cream sticks. Among them are a variety of doll houses, furniture for dolls, decor for flower pots or cups for pens and pencils. But one of the simplest crafts is a bracelet, painted or decorated in some other way.
So, to make a bracelet of their ice cream sticks, wash the stick with laundry soap, and then soak it in warm water overnight (it may take more time, up to a day). As a result of soaking, the stick should become soft enough so that it can be bent without breaking.
Helpful Hint: For crafts with children, you can purchase sets of ice cream sticks in various colors, which are specially sold for this purpose.
Place the softened stick in a glass or mug of the required diameter (if you are making a children's bracelet, choose a smaller vessel, if the bracelet for an adult hand is correspondingly larger). Leave the stick in a glass (mug) until dry.
Decorate the finished bracelet blank to your liking. You can paint it with felt-tip pens, oil paints. If you do not know how to draw, use the decoupage technique or cover it with a cloth, wind a leather cord or beaded thread on the bracelet, and apply decorative tape. Linen lace will also look good on a wooden base (you just need to glue it with "Moment-crystal" type glue). In general, show your imagination in the decor of the bracelet!
Helpful advice: if you want the stick to dry faster, dry it with a regular hair dryer (several times with breaks).
