One of the favorite children's entertainment is downhill skiing. Children have to compete not only in the speed and range of skiing, but also in the question of who has the "cooler" ice. Original homemade sleds will not only provide comfortable riding, but will also help your child to attract attention and make new acquaintances.
It is necessary
- - foam rubber
- - oilcloth
- - fleecy dense fabric (drape, cloth, etc.)
- - clothesline (small piece 20-25 cm)
- - metal lurex under the laces
- - thermal stickers on fabric
Instructions
Step 1
Measure from the tailbone to the inside of the baby's knee. Cut a rectangle of the appropriate length out of the foam. Round off the front (top) slightly.
Step 2
Attach the foam rubber to the oilcloth and cut out a pattern, stepping back from the edges 1-2 cm for future seams. Do the same with the fabric. The oilcloth will ensure the glide of the ice, and the warm fabric surface will create a light warming effect and will not allow the child to slip off the bedding while moving.
Step 3
Imagine putting a pillowcase on top of your pillow. Sew both patterns so that the resulting shell can be easily slipped onto the foam template. Try sitting down to test the softness of the garment. For extra volume, you can add another layer of foam rubber. Sew up the cover only after making sure there are enough layers.
Step 4
Mark and poke holes in the front of the ice for the handle. To prevent the foam from tearing, the holes must be fixed with metal lurex under the laces. Thread the string through the lurex and knot the ends to secure the handle. The knots should be located on the fabric surface, otherwise they will interfere with the sliding of the ice.
Step 5
Iron on fabrics will help you add creativity. For girls, it can be butterflies or flowers, for boys - cars and more. The name of the child will also look original: buy ready-made stickers with names in the accessories department or select the appropriate letters.
