Fire in paintings and book illustrations is quite common. This is a tourist fire, a fire in a cat's house, and a flame erupting from a volcano, and much more. Fire has no permanent form. The artist needs to make it clear to the viewer that fire is hot and mobile, that its appearance is constantly changing.

Instructions
Step 1
Start drawing the fire from its intended outlines. A lot depends on what you are drawing the flame for. For example, pioneer posters and fire icons always had three languages. In the picture, the fire often looks like a yellow-orange spot, from which sparks fly high. A fire is many tongues of fire located along the entire contour of a burning object. Therefore, with a thin pencil, sketch out a spot, limited by teeth of different lengths, for a fire. If you are drawing a fire, draw some jagged lines, for example, over the roof of a building and above the floor. If you are drawing a candle, depict one tongue, which is a highly elongated oval with a pointed top end
Step 2
At the spot that bounds the outline of the fire, find an arbitrary point at the bottom of the line. Imagine that there is firewood there. You can even sketch them. Draw the flame itself from this point with bold and fast vertical and oblique strokes. Paint on the brush with bright yellow paint. You need a squirrel or kolinsky brush. If you pass it a short, sharp stroke from the bottom up or to the side, it will press itself where it is needed. Imagine that you are drawing a flower with the center where the firewood is stacked in a fire. Make strokes as you would place the petals, that is, they are very close to each other in the center, and diverge towards the edges. There should be distances of several millimeters between them. Don't try to make the strokes the same length. The campfire languages are constantly changing and different

strokes between the ones you already have. Again, it is not at all necessary to strictly alternate one color with another. Only a few orange lines can be drawn. Draw the red tongues in the same way. You can take any red, from bright scarlet to burgundy. Slightly blur the edges of the strokes so that there are no too sharp outlines. Do not forget that there is always smoke over the fire, and accordingly, the outlines of figures and objects in this place should be slightly blurred and slightly lighter. The fire in the stove is drawn in the same way.
Step 4
You don't need to select a single point to draw a fire. Make yellow strokes of different lengths, but so that they are all perpendicular to the roof slope or, say, a window. You can make some languages very thin, and others thick and long. Draw orange and red tongues between the yellow ones.
