Mosaic is a very beautiful and elegant decorative element, no matter what it is made of. And we will try to transform an ordinary eggshell, well washed and dried, into a mosaic. Instead of a shell, you can also use dyed grain, which is used to decorate Easter cakes or even beads.
It is necessary
- A sheet of cardboard, for example, coated from a shoe box;
- PVA glue;
- A pair of notebook sheets;
- Glass bottle;
- Pencil;
- And, of course, eggshells.
Instructions
Step 1
Cooking the shell. To do this, put it between two notebook sheets and start rolling it out with a glass bottle until the shell is crushed to the size we need. Be careful not to get too small pieces, otherwise it will be difficult to make a mosaic out of them. And too large pieces will look messy when finished.
Step 2
Now we need to process the sheet of cardboard. We cut it off and give it the desired size and shape. For unfolding the mosaic, we will use the blank side without drawings and inscriptions. With a pencil, apply the desired drawing. You can depict some animal or a beautiful landscape yourself, or you can use a stencil and draw outlines with a pencil.
Step 3
The illustration outline is complete. Let's start decorating. Carefully cover the drawing element with PVA glue, without going beyond the pencil lines. We take a pinch of crushed shells, sprinkle glue with it. Clear boundaries can be marked with a knife, aligning the shell around the circumference of the pattern. Try to fill the drawing with an even layer. Although, if we want to give the drawing three-dimensionality, here you can pour more shells in some places, and less in others. It all depends on the drawing and on your imagination.
Step 4
As soon as the picture with the shell is dry, you can color it accordingly, giving it liveliness. All that remains is to make a frame and hang the freshly made mosaic on the wall.
