Step 1
Come up with an idea for your photo mosaic. If you are making a gift, you can come up with something related to a person's profession or hobby. Or maybe you want to make a photo mosaic of your vacation photos to remind you of travel all year round. Choose a base photo. The requirements for it are simple. It must be clear (contrast can be increased in the visual editor). If this is a picture of a person, it is better that the portrait is without a million details in the background. Finally, the background can be cut off.
Step 2
Collect all possible and relevant photographs. Suitable means that they must be the same location (horizontal or vertical), approximately the same size or with the same aspect ratio. If you do not have enough photos of a suitable shape, you can crop those that are available - turn horizontal ones into vertical ones, and vice versa. The more photos the better. You need at least five hundred images.
Step 3
It is not necessary that the photos are in good resolution, the size and quality of the image is not important here. For a spectacularly looking photo mosaic, it will be enough that each element in the printed form does not exceed a size of 3 cm.
Step 4
Try to exclude duplicate photos, they may be adjacent to each other. It will be striking.
Step 5
There are many applications on the Internet for making photo mosaics. Download any of them. Load the base image and designer photos in the appropriate tabs.
Step 6
Modern programs have a lot of settings, you can upload photos as a whole directory and immediately adjust them to the desired size by registering it in the program settings. There is also a choice of a background image that will cover the gaps between the pictures; the size of these gaps; you can choose the shape of the image, etc.
Step 7
Generate a photo mosaic. The generation process is often quite long, depending on the size of the mosaic. Your artwork is ready.
