Any surface lined with mosaics is a wonderful decoration for the house, facade and elements of garden architecture. A self-made mosaic can decorate not only the surface of the walls, but also household items - countertops, trays and much more. Decorating the objects around you with your own hands is much more pleasant.
Instructions
Step 1
Before making the mosaic, select the plot of the sketch that you will lay out with your own hands. Complete the life-size sketch you have conceived and lay out the entire composition on it.
Step 2
Clean the surface to be decorated with a painting or smalt pattern. It is imperative to clean the surface from dirt and dust. On an uncleaned surface, the finished mosaic does not adhere well.
Step 3
Next, on a clean surface, apply a specially designed mixture, which is placed on the ceramic tiles.
Step 4
The bonding layer should not be too thick, a few millimeters will suffice.
Step 5
Transfer very carefully to the surface all the pieces laid out in the sketch. Press the pieces into the base with light pressure.
Step 6
With the last piece laid down, take a look at your work. If everything worked out as you planned, drown the pieces thoroughly in the solution.
Step 7
Smooth the surface and tamp a little, remove excess mortar with a knife.
Step 8
After two hours, polish the resulting mosaic with a clean, dry cloth. In this way, you can decorate dishes and walls in your home.
