Salted dough is traditionally used to sculpt small simple figures with preschool children. However, this material can be used in more voluminous works - for example, in paintings, in which the plasticity of the dough and painting with paints can be successfully combined.

- - salt 0.5 tbsp.;
- - 3/4 cup water;

Instructions
Step 1
Knead the dough. Mix one glass of flour with half a glass of table salt. Gradually add three quarters of a glass of water to this mixture. Adjust the amount of liquid so that the dough is cool and does not stick to your hands. Knead it as hard as possible to get rid of air bubbles. Set it aside in a cool place for the rest of your work preparation.
Step 2
Prepare a sketch of the painting on paper at a 1: 1 scale. Place two or three layers of food foil on a baking sheet, put a sketch on top and circle it with a pen, squeezing outlines on the foil through the paper.
Step 3
Form the volumetric details of the picture from small pieces of foil, reducing their size by about 2-3 millimeters. This will help save the dough consumption and, most importantly, make the picture easier.
Step 4
Roll out the dough into thin 3mm layers. Lay them over the foil templates, carefully sculpting the shape. Work on small details with a stack.
Step 5
Moisten the joints of the dough fragments with water, "smear" with your fingers and smooth the surface with a wet soft brush.
Step 6
Leave the laid out painting to dry for two days. Choose a place for her in which there are no drafts and the air temperature remains unchanged throughout the day.
Step 7
Then dry the product in an oven preheated to 50 degrees. Depending on the size of the painting, this will take from half an hour to three hours.
Step 8
Paint the baked picture with acrylic paints for porous surfaces, and after drying (3-4 hours) cover with matte acrylic varnish. Attach it to the plywood with ceramic glue.
