It is necessary

  • - Simple wooden cutting board;
  • - Primer for wooden surfaces;
  • - Acrylic paints;
  • - Brushes;
  • - Picture;
  • - Copy paper;
  • - Pencil.

Instructions

Step 1

Find the right pattern for your board. A drawing can be composed of several different pictures. If you can draw, then you just need to see the picture in a magazine or on a computer. Alternatively, use a printer printout or a drawing that is clear enough to trace with a pencil.

Step 2

Place the board on the table. Dilute the primer as directed on the label. Instead of a ready-made primer, you can use PVA glue strongly diluted with water. When dry, it gives a transparent surface. Dip the brush into the ground and cover the board on the side where your drawing will be. Thanks to such impregnation, the paints will not penetrate deep into the wood, your picture will remain clear and bright. Dry the primed board.

Step 3

Cover the whiteboard surface with carbon paper. Place your drawing on it. Circle all the lines of the drawing with a pencil. Try not to press hard on the pencil so that the print is thin and not depressed. A deep, random line is difficult to erase from the tree, it may be a dent. And you have to sand this place and primer again.

Step 4

Paint the resulting picture with acrylic paints. The paints mix well with each other. You can get many shades. If acrylic paints become stringy, thin them with water. The drawing dries quickly, so take your time so that the paints do not merge in places of contact with each other, where it is not needed.

Step 5

Dry the resulting cutting board. The surface of the board may or may not be varnished with water-based varnish. Acrylic paints retain their brightness for a long time. The painted board can be washed with water, the paint will not be damaged.
