Step 1
Draw the basic outlines. It is better to draw a dog's drawing across the entire width of the sheet. This will make it easier for you to depict small details. In addition, a large picture almost always looks more impressive. Draw a diagonal line. This will be the leading straight. Do not press hard on the pencil, as this line will have to be erased. Next, draw three circles along the line. The topmost one should have the smallest diameter. This will be the head of the dog.
Step 2
Start drawing the paws. Mark the joints. Draw the lower parts of the three legs. The fourth will not be visible due to the perspective. Add an extra circle near the head for the dog's muzzle. It is very important to accurately position these contours. Otherwise, the final drawing will turn out to be crooked.
Step 3
Draw the general outline of the dog. Connect the torso, legs and head with lines. Be extremely careful. The whole drawing of the dog will depend on this step. It is best to step back from the sheet of paper for a few minutes after completing this step, and then look again and make changes. You also need to add the right eye of the dog.
Step 4
Removing extra lines. All auxiliary contours must be removed. Draw the dog's second eye. It should be at the same level as the first. Then draw the dog's nose a little lower. Draw a small vertical line and then draw the lines of the mouth. Don't forget the ears and nose.
Step 5
Add details. They will make your drawing look realistic. For example, draw bulging fur and spots on the coat. Detail the eyes, nose and ears. It is also necessary to draw the claws on the paws.
Step 6
Color the dog. Perhaps this is the easiest and most interesting step. For the main fur, use light pencil pressure. For spots, it needs to be increased, reaching almost black color. Finally, apply shadows and highlights. You can add some background.
