The use of crochets in knitting (meaning throwing a working thread on a knitting needle or hook, which is not provided for with ordinary loops) is a necessary skill that allows you to add the number of loops on the product, as well as perform certain patterns.
Instructions
Step 1
If you knit on knitting needles, and according to the instructions, you must make a double yarn, this means that you must throw a working thread on the tip of the right knitting needle twice, or, in other words, wrap the right knitting needle twice with a thread. In the next row, to add loops, and to form a specific pattern, then in the next row, most likely, you will need to subtract the extra two loops in a certain way, while strictly following the knitting pattern.
Step 2
If you are crocheting, then a double crochet is done as follows. Put the working thread on the hook twice, insert the hook into the loop of the previous row, grab the working thread and pull it out. As a result, the hook should have: a newly drawn loop, two yarns, another loop (farthest from the working thread). After that, grab the working thread with the crochet and pull it through the loop and the first yarn on the hook. Then grab the sewing thread again and pull it through the loop and the second yarn. Thread the thread back over and pass it through the two loops on the hook.
Step 3
A row of double crochet stitches turns out to be much higher than a row of ordinary stitches, so knitting the fabric in this way is easier and faster. However, with such knitting, the fabric turns out to be quite openwork and loose, which must be taken into account if you yourself invent the pattern of your product.
Step 4
When knitting a whole row, consisting of columns with two crochets, such a row begins with a chain of 4 air loops (the so-called lifting air loops), which on the canvas look like the first (or last) column in the row.
Step 5
When knitting columns with three or more crochets, the principle of action is preserved, only the number of techniques increases. A column with two crochets is tied in three steps (two loops each), a column with three crochets - in four steps (two loops each), and so on.
