The poncho, invented by the Indians of South America, has been very popular on all continents for several decades. This poncho is knitted with a front stitch without a seam.
It is necessary
- - about 600g thick wool
- - circular needles No. 3, 5
- - a set of 5 needles No. 3, 5
Instructions
Step 1
Measure the neck circumference and calculate the facial surface. Start knitting the poncho on five knitting needles. Cast on the required number of loops - it should be divisible by four. The lines for adding stitches will be at the transition from one knitting needle to another. For the first six rows, knit with the front stitch, without adding loops. Start tying the connection lines right away. Knit the loops on the first knitting needle, knit, knit the second loop from the end with the purl, and the last knit. Start the second wedge with the front wedge, then knit one purl and knit to the last two stitches. Knit the penultimate one with the wrong side, the last one with the front one. Knit the rest of the wedges in the same way. Knit the second row according to the pattern, knitting the front loops over the front loops, and the purl over the purl loops.
Step 2
Start adding loops from the seventh row. The addition is done at the junction of the wedges. Knit all the stitches of the wedge to the penultimate one with the front one, knit the penultimate one with the purl. After that, make a reverse yarn over and knit the last loop with the front one. Thus, add loops at the joints of all wedges. Knit the next row according to the pattern without adding, knit the yarn over with a purl loop. Add loops through the row. After knitting 20 cm, go to circular needles.
Step 3
Continue knitting the poncho in a circle, adding stitches through each row. Knit the product to the desired length. Close the hinges.
