Fishing in Russia, especially in winter, requires a special approach to the choice of not only tackle, but also clothing. Due to climatic conditions, fishermen are equipped to be protected from cold, damp and mud.

Instructions

Step 1

Start by choosing your fishing shoes. For winter, take insulating boots with natural fur with felt insoles. It is better if the soles are anti-slip, with spikes. Shoes should be at least one size larger to accommodate warm socks and not squeeze your foot. For fishing in summer, autumn and spring, rubber boots with felt insoles or lightweight boots with grooved soles are suitable.

Step 2

Be sure to purchase thermal underwear, it will come in handy when fishing at any time of the year. For ice fishing in winter, a single layer of sheep wool, such as a sweatshirt and pants or overalls, is suitable. In the demi-season, choose multi-layer thermal underwear, optimally from three layers. It will absorb excess moisture and at the same time prevent moisture penetration.

Step 3

Wear as many layers of relatively light winter fishing clothing as possible to keep warm between the layers. If you take a specialized fisherman's suit, keep in mind that it must be moisture and airtight, with a jacket no higher than the knees. Pay attention to the system of pockets, flaps and fasteners, check if it is comfortable. If the purchase of workwear is not included in your plans, a long, thick jacket with natural fur, with a collar and a hood can be an alternative.

Step 4

Pay special attention to the choice of headgear and mittens. A hat with a fleece lining can be fur or knitted; the main thing is that it fits snugly to the head. Bring two pairs of thin gloves and two pairs of mittens on a fishing trip in case one gets wet. It is convenient to carry out small work with gloves, for example, knit knots, attach a bait. And thick knitted or fur mittens will protect your hands from frost while sitting on the ice for many hours.
