In winter, our beloved birds, which cheer up in the warm season with their singing, need support. Most often, birds are nutritionally deficient, so you can make a bird feeder with your own hands and help them over the winter. The easiest way is to make a feeder from available tools.
It is necessary
- - strong rope or thread;
- - bottle (preferably rectangular);
- - reinforced tape;
- - scissors.
Instructions
Step 1
Take a plastic bottle and rinse thoroughly. The chemistry contained in the drink is fatal to birds. It is better to choose a rectangular plastic bottle. It is easier to make an entrance hole in it and it will be more convenient for the bird to navigate.
Step 2
The bottle should be positioned with the cap facing up. This will prevent snow and water from getting inside the trough. The lid must also be left in place.
Step 3
Cut a rectangular entrance hole on one of the edges. Don't cut off the bottom of the rectangle.
Step 4
Gently bend the dangling bottom part several times. This creates a comfortable border and the bird, sitting on the edge, will not cut the legs. Paste the rest of the edges with reinforced tape. This is also necessary to avoid injury to the bird on the edge of the bottle.
Step 5
You should not paint or decorate the feeder. We must try to achieve maximum transparency. The bird will be afraid to climb into a dark, unseen space.
Step 6
Hang up the finished feeder. There is no need to hang the feeder from the lid. Use the holes in the bottle body for this. Make four equally spaced holes on the edges, pass a string or fishing line through them. Hang the feeder behind it in the planned place.
