Babies grow up and change their appearance so quickly that it would be a great omission on the part of parents not to capture these transformations in photographs. Taking pictures of babies is not difficult: they are not stubborn and do not disappear from the frame at the very last moment. The difficulty lies only in diversifying the pictures of the baby, sleeping most of the day, and catching the appropriate expression of the tiny face. You don't have to hire a professional photographer to get memorable shots.
Instructions
Step 1
Avoid using flash. She can scare the child and spoil his eyesight. You can get soft and even lighting with reflectors. You can also shoot by the window for natural lighting. If an adult is holding the child in his arms, care must be taken not to block the light falling on the child.
Step 2
Take more close-ups of the face. When viewing such photos, it is best to see how the baby interacts with the world around him. The most interesting will be the pictures taken at the level of the child's eyes. Close-ups of tiny arms and legs can be done using a macro or zoom lens. The burst function allows you to capture the interesting moment.
Step 3
Include in the frame the object to which the child is reaching. Arrange it in such a way that only this item and the baby are included in it. Take a picture from the top with your baby in the crib. Do not use a white background, but for a child choose clothes in calm light and pastel colors. A very tiny baby can be laid on a blanket and hung from the back of a light sheet. Fabrics without patterns reflect light well and do not distract attention. To separate the background, increase the aperture and shoot close-ups from a great distance using a telephoto lens.
Step 4
Photographing your baby while feeding or changing clothes: This is the easiest way to convey the special bond that exists between mom and baby. If for some reason the mother does not want to be present in the frame, take a picture of the child, whose face is peeping out over the mother's shoulder. When photographing a little person, stay close to him and exclude empty space from the frame. Think over the composition of the picture in advance, try to make it original. If you put an interesting suit or hat on your baby, the photo will turn out to be unusual, even if he sleeps during the shooting.
