Making paper crafts is a very fun type of creativity that allows you to develop spatial imagination and fantasy. A handmade paper mushroom is a craft, the complexity of which can vary depending on the age and skill level of the child.
Bright mushroom meadow
Making such paper mushrooms is suitable for children who are just starting to master the art of paper plastic. To make mushroom legs from a sheet of white paper, several tubes are glued, which are slightly cut in the form of a wide fringe along one of the edges for further gluing the tube to the mushroom cap.
Hats are made from corrugated cake baskets. The baskets are painted with gouache in bright colors, after drying, small speckled circles of white paper are glued over the entire surface of the future hat. The hat is glued to the leg with PVA or office glue.
Paper fly agaric
To create a mushroom cap, you need a circle cut out of red or orange paper: the size of the cap of the future mushroom will depend on the size of its diameter. The circle is slightly incised towards its center, the edges are connected, forming a wide cone, and glued.
White circles are cut out manually or with the help of a hole punch, carefully glued to the mushroom cap. The leg is made either from a roll of toilet paper, or a cardboard tube is glued. If the finished roll is brown, then it is advisable to pre-glue it with white crepe or crumpled paper. A "skirt" made from a cut narrow strip of paper is glued to the leg. By stroking each cut with a scissor blade, you can achieve that the edges of the "skirt" will be slightly curled.
The upper edge of the leg is slightly cut, the cuts are bent outward and coated with glue to connect with the fly agaric cap. The lower edge of the mushroom leg is attached in the same way to a green cardboard sheet depicting a forest glade. "Glade" can be decorated with paper flowers, twigs, leaves.
A more complex technique for making an amanita involves shaping its cap from small pieces of corrugated paper or napkins. To do this, the paper is cut into squares about 1 cm in size, a fountain pen is placed in the center of the square with a blunt end, the paper is crumpled around it and rolled between the fingers.
A little glue is dripped onto the fly agaric cap, a paper tube is placed on it and the rod is carefully removed. Thus, a red cap and white spots on it are formed from paper of different colors, gluing each blank as close as possible to the previous one. The mushroom cap becomes voluminous and looks very impressive.
Papier-mâché mushrooms
Making mushrooms from papier-mâché is considered a more difficult and time-consuming work - the material takes a long time to dry. Brown egg cartons are well suited as a base material. The cells are thoroughly soaked with water, crushed well and squeezed through a double layer of gauze.
The squeezed mass is mixed with homemade paste and mushroom caps and legs are formed from it. The blanks are dried, after which the legs and inner surfaces of the caps are pasted over with white crepe or toilet paper. With the help of glue, the legs are connected to the caps, if necessary, the mushrooms are painted in the desired colors and decorated with leaves that have fallen on the caps, stuck grass blades, and insect figurines.
