Organizer is a place for storing various small items. It not only helps to maintain order in the apartment, but is also able to become an original interior decoration. You can sew it from any fairly dense fabric.
It is necessary
- - thick colored fabric;
- - thick fabric for lining;
- - pieces of fabric for pockets;
- - zippers, buttons, buttons;
- - braid;
- - sewing accessories.
Instructions
Step 1
Cut 2 equal large rectangles from the base fabric and the lining fabric. Mark the pockets on the main fabric.
Step 2
Make pocket patterns. They can be different - square, rectangular, oval. For the organizer, rectangular and square pockets are most suitable, they are more spacious. Keep in mind that the parts should be larger in area than the places intended for them, because the organizer should be roomy enough. Cut out patterns from thin but stiff cardboard, then cut out the pieces from the fabric, remembering to leave 1 cm allowances on each side, except for the top, where the allowance should be larger.
Step 3
Treat pockets. Place a piece of fabric with the wrong side up, on it - a piece of cardboard. Press the seam allowances on the wrong side. Sew the upper seam allowance immediately, bending up to 0, 5 and 2 cm. Make welt loops and overcast them. Prepare all the pockets this way.
Step 4
Pin the pockets to the top of the organizer. Mark the position of the buttons. Remove pockets and sew on buttons. Baste the pockets, see how they zip. Stitch them to the canvas. If you expect heavy items to be stored in the organizer, double stitch.
Step 5
Fold the main piece and lining right sides. Sew them on three sides, then turn them out, iron them out, close the top edge by sewing in several loops from the braid. The loops must be in the corners, and in the rest of the sections they must be at regular intervals. You can sew two loops to the bottom corners. Hang the organizer on decorative carnations.
