Knowing how to knit is a very useful skill. With its help, you can make a warm sweater, woolen socks or dog hair mittens, and at the same time keep yourself busy for the whole evening.

Instructions

Step 1

Unfortunately, many women, and not only women, who are just going to learn to knit, are frightened by the difficulty of reading knitting patterns. But there is nothing complicated in these schemes. Each cell in the diagram is a loop. Accordingly, a row of cells is a row of loops. In the front rows, the patterns are read from right to left, in the purl rows - vice versa.

Step 2

On the sides of the diagram, you can see numbers - they show the sequence of rows when knitting. On the right are the numbers for the front rows, on the left for the purl rows.

Step 3

Most novice knitters are intimidated by the sheer number of icons that can get confused. These crosses, circles, zigzags, dots and many other figures can make your head spin. But on each diagram, all the icons that are used there are necessarily signed and described. Moreover, each badge is matched with the maximum correspondence in appearance to the loop that it denotes. They're not that hard to remember. But if you put the most common icons in your memory, you can "click" schemes like nuts.

Step 4

The rapport (repeating the same pattern) reflects the number of loops required to create one repetition of the pattern. The rapport on the diagrams is indicated by arrows or square brackets.

Step 5

If there is a central pattern, then only the number of loops necessary for its execution is given, and the main pattern, passing on both sides of it, is knitted based on the description or in its own way.
