For many people who emigrated to America, the Statue of Liberty has become a real symbol of peace, freedom and friendship. Therefore, many people dream of drawing her, because she is not a symbol of freedom, but is also recognized as one of the most famous figures in the world. Drawing a statue requires a lot of effort to be able to accurately convey its proportions and small elements.
It is necessary
White or light green cardboard, a marker, scissors, a piece of yellow cloth, green paint and glue
Instructions
Step 1
Take a close look at the Statue of Liberty initially. You can use photographs and even drawings in different styles. First sketch out the face of the statue by sketching. Draw the face in a circle, giving it a shape similar to the original.
Step 2
Draw a circle around the head and also make a small circle for the torch. Plan out the rest of the body and draw a long dress and legs. On the face, draw the eyes, mouth, nose, focusing on the raised arm and sleeve. Make a base for the hair and sketch out the pedestal.
Step 3
The cardboard sheet should be green. Therefore, if the sheet was originally white, paint it with green paint. Let the paint dry. Circle the entire drawing with black marker. Roll the white paper into a cone to get a torch and stick it on the paper. Make a burner flame out of yellow paper and glue it to the torch.
Step 4
Take another piece of green paper and make a crown out of it. Trace the edges of the crown with a black marker and cut out. Make a green tie, also drawing with a black marker.
Step 5
Draw small lines across the dress to indicate folds. Draw an arm and sketch out the legs on the pedestal. Draw each finger to create realism.
Step 6
After finishing drawing, paint the resulting statue. Paint the face green, and paint green all over the body for a special look. The dress and sleeves can be dyed with a lighter color. Make light places in the picture with white paint to add volume.
