Did you know that you can weave very beautiful, useful and interesting things from newspapers? These can be various baskets, buckets, vases, boxes, stands and even furniture. But for the main range of things, a round bottom is required, and this is where the weaving of the product itself begins.
It is necessary
- - newspaper tubes
- -scissors
- -the form
Instructions
Step 1
Take newspaper tubes of the same size, arrange them in groups. You should have 4 groups of 3-4 tubes.
Step 2
To start weaving a round bottom out of newspapers, you need to fold the core. To do this, lay 2 groups on a flat surface parallel to each other. Put the third group on one parallel, but under the other. Place the fourth opposite to the third, i.e. on top of the one under which the third group lies, and under the one on which the third also lies on top. Now try to press all the tubes more tightly to each other so that a gap does not form in the center.
Step 3
And now it's time to braid our center and shape the very round bottom for a basket, vase, casket or any other product. To do this, take one tube, bend it in half. With the resulting "crochet" grab 2 groups next to each other. Place the upper part of the tube with which you are braiding the bottom under the bottom of the next two groups, and the lower part on top of these two groups. Braid 2 rows in this way.
Step 4
To further get the bottom of the newspapers round, and not square, for example, then separate the tubes into groups no longer 8 in a group, but 4. Braid the groups of 4 tubes of 3 rows, then divide not 4 tubes, but 2, braid further with a "string". If the bottom is large, then as the weaving, the tubes can be divided and braided one by one.
Step 5
Braid the bottom with the "string" until it reaches the desired size. In order not to miscalculate with the size, often substitute the form for the bottom, woven from newspapers.
Step 6
When the bottom is about the size of the shape, finish braiding. To finish weaving, you need to take one base tube along which you were braiding and lead it over the next base tube, then the tube through which you started the previous one, wind it over the next and so on until the end. Insert the latter into the loop formed by the first tube.
Step 7
So, the round bottom of newspaper tubes is ready, now you can start weaving the walls and making the product itself.
