It is necessary

Two pairs of trousers, braid, hot-melt spider web, iron, scissors, sewing machine, thread, blade

Instructions

Step 1

We take two pairs of trousers. Choose from them the pants that need to be altered. The second pants will be used for hemming the main ones. The fabric of the trousers should correspond to each other in texture and match in color.

Step 2

For the main trousers, we strip off the bottom of the legs and the side inner seam at the bottom by 3 cm. For the second trousers we strip off the pockets, cut off the lower part of the trousers. You need to cut off as much as we will increase the length of the main trousers. And do not forget to take into account the seam allowance of 2 cm. We strip off the 3 cm of the side inner seam on top of the cut-off leg. We clean up the extra strings, smooth the former seams.

Step 3

If the trousers on the knees are frayed, you can fix this. It is necessary to glue the applique from the unplugged pockets. With hot melt spider web and hot iron, our pockets are securely attached to the main trousers.

Step 4

Sew the upper and lower legs of the trousers. To do this, turn the working leg inside out, put it on the upper leg, adjust the side seams. The side outer seams must match. And the inner seams will have to be adjusted. If the main leg on the sides is smaller than the working leg, then boldly cut the working leg. If the working leg is smaller, then it will have to be sewn on, and only then sewn to the upper leg. Baste a horizontal seam, stitch in, iron. Turn it out. Glue the braid over the seam using a hot-melt spider web and an iron. The tape should match symmetrically on the sides of the two legs.
