The warm summer is long over. The summer wardrobe has already been replaced by the autumn one. It would be nice to update it, for example, buy a beautiful coat. Or maybe it's better to sew a coat with your own hands? From this you will get twice as much benefit: firstly, the coat will be exclusive (none of them has one), and secondly, you will experience a feeling of self-satisfaction (you were able to sew the thing yourself).
It is necessary

- - sewing machine;
- - threads;
- - buttons.
Instructions
Step 1
Find the coat model that suits you best. This can be done in several ways. Firstly, many sewing magazines are sold today with ready-made patterns. Carefully familiarize yourself with the models of women's coat presented on the pages of the printed publication: mentally imagine yourself in each of them. This will make it much easier to make a choice. You can also visit specialized sites dedicated to sewing and knitting. Download to your computer the coat model you like and the pattern for it: maybe it will not be just a coat, but a poncho coat. Print the pattern on the printer.
Step 2
All ready-made patterns are built to a specific size, so make sure the printed pattern or magazine pattern fits your size. The advantage of a poncho coat is that even if its pattern is designed for size 48, it can also be used when sewing a coat for the owner of size 46.
Step 3
Cut the pattern along its outline. Then attach the cut details to the unfolded fabric and outline the contours of the half-back and half-shelf, giving an allowance of three centimeters from the side of the sleeve. In addition, make a 1, 5 centimeter allowance along the edges of the shelf and the neckline.
Step 4
Cut out the cut out details of the poncho coat. Then sew the one-piece sleeves and connect the sleeves with the poncho one-piece seam (where this coat is hemmed on the sleeve side).
Step 5
Sew on the side seams of the parts.
Step 6
Sew on the seamy side of the neckline. To do this, first adjust this element to 0.5 centimeters and baste it by hand: if this part "sits down" well, stitch it in.
Step 7
Tuck the hem of the bottom of the sleeve and the one-piece by half a centimeter (perform all operations only from the wrong side) and baste by hand.
Step 8
Make blanks for three hanging loops: set aside rectangles (0.5x25 cm) on the fabric and sew them in the form of rolls. After that, baste the hinged loops from the front side in the place provided for this pattern.
Step 9
Topstitch all temporary hand-sewn seams on the sewing machine and sew on the buttons. The poncho coat is ready.
